Boulder Severe Weather Alerts: High Wind Warning & Red Flag Warning

Dear Parents & Students,

Some of you have been contacting us regarding the weather forecast for Wednesday, Dec. 17.

There is a red flag warning, high winds and dry conditions are expected in the front range. Xcel Energy might shutoff the electricity at 12:00 pm on Dec. 17 to reduce the risk of wildfire.

Our building might be impacted by the shutoff and the church adm. might shut down the building in the afternoon.

At this point, we are planning to run our in -person German classes in the morning (9:00 - 10:00am) and in the afternooon from 4:00 - 5:30pm/6:00pm. We would love to see all our Wednesday families before winter break, but we also want to make sure that our families are save. 

Our decision will be made based on the recommendation of BVSD, since our school follows the Boulder Valley School District's Decisions for weather related school closure AND the decision of Atonement Lutheran church (potential closing).
